Size: 8 oz. - 75 Servings

Yes, the spirulina powder has a potent smell. This is normal. Spirulina is a micro-algae which has a naturally strong taste and smell. This is due to its nutrient density as spirulina is an extremely potent green alga.

We recommend 2 tablets per day for the spirulina tablets for ages 4 – 12, 4 tablets (standard serving) per day for ages 12 and older. We recommend not giving it to children under 4-years-old because tablets can be a choking hazard.

We recommend 1 gram per day for the spirulina powder for ages 2 – 12, and 3 grams per day for ages 12 and older (standard adult serving size).

Yes, the product is 100% non-GMO, and we only use organic, and GMP certified facilities to handle and produce our spirulina and chlorella.

Our spirulina and chlorella do not contain any cyanotoxins. It is tested extensively for all algae toxins and environmental contaminants such as microcystins, heavy metals, and PAHs. Unlike other blue-green algae used in health supplements, our spirulina is not grown in natural lakes. It is grown in a 100% controlled environment, enabling us to eliminate all toxins and contaminants commonly found in wild-grown blue-green algae. We continually test and monitor the health of our spirulina throughout every phase of the cultivation process.

Spirulina contains naturally occurring low levels of iodine. Its content is not as high as other algae species such a Kelp, which is saltwater-based algae with high iodine content.

Yes, it is tested for such radiation. Unlike Spirulinas grown in Hawaii and even California, you will not have to worry about potential radioactive contamination in our Spirulina. The Gulfstream in the Pacific pulls the radioactive contaminants out into and across the Pacific. India is located over 6000 km east of Japan, and no environmental force would ever pull the radioactive material in that direction.

The best absorption method would be to take the tablets with food right before a meal. The digestive enzymes produced during digestion will improve the breakdown and nutrient assimilation. If you're on the go, it is also effective to take all 4 tablets with a full glass of water.

Both spirulina and chlorella are 100% soy and gluten-free, 100% organic, and zero other additives or ingredients.

Neither are freeze-dried. We use a patented spray drying process that maintains low temperatures, preserving the products' raw bioactive components.

The body is never fully detoxified as it is continually coming in contact with external toxins from things like cleaning supplies or even heavy metals that are prevalent in produce. Both spirulina and chlorella are beneficial for continual detoxification. If you want to do a large-scale flush, consider a full detox. During full detoxes, the body does a purge, and the body needs to get in the purge state to really expel large amounts of toxins. The spirulina and chlorella are fantastic to take during this process because they will assist the body in continuously expelling toxins. It is recommended to do a full detox every 6 months to purge the body of large amounts of toxins, and then every day after that, continually take actions to expel toxins you come in contact with daily. The daily maintenance is where spirulina and chlorella come in.

They are identical in terms of the nutritional composition. The tablets are simply the same spirulina powder cold-pressed into tablet form. The tablets are often preferred by customers who don't care for the taste of spirulina powder.

The vitamin K content in spirulina and chlorella or other species of micro-algae is not very significant. Cruciferous vegetables and grasses, such as wheatgrass and barley grass, have significant vitamin K levels. If you are looking for a supplement with vitamin K, we offer organic wheatgrass juice powder and barley grass juice powder, both of which have very high vitamin K levels.

Spirulina and chlorella both compliment each other very well, and it is beneficial to take both. They are two different species of algae, so their nutrient content and various health properties differ. It is similar to the importance of eating both spinach and kale. Spirulina is more nutrient-dense. We often consider it mother nature's vitamin, whereas chlorella is extremely good for detoxification and cellular health. Both have similar benefits such as cardiovascular health, anti-aging, etc... But taking both in no way is overkill. They complement each other.

Yes, it can, and it is shown to be very beneficial to their health. For smaller breeds, give them 2 tablets per day. For larger breeds, give them 4 tablets per day. If you purchase the powder form, for smaller breeds, give them 1 g per day. For larger breeds, give them 2 g per day. Your veterinarian may provide different serving recommendations based on your dog's health needs.

I dont want ti give you a bad review but I'm not thrilled with this spirulina for the price. Spirulina should basically be odorless if prepared and dried properly. I usually get raw living spirulina and it actually has a slight nutty taste but at the same time it's almost entirely tasteless. I've noticed dried spirulina almost always has a twang or sort of a fishy taste to it
