Are there any known side effects?
Most people tolerate L-Methylfolate well. A small number of people new to methylation support report transient symptoms in the first week (mild headache, irritability, or increased energy at night). Lowering the dose or taking it earlier in the day usually resolves it. If symptoms persist, stop the product and consult your practitioner.

Can this supplement interact with medications?
L-Methylfolate can interact with certain medications, including methotrexate, anticonvulsants, and some SSRIs. If you are currently on a prescription, please discuss with your prescribing provider before starting any new methylation support.

What is L-Methylfolate and how is it different from folic acid?
Folic acid is a synthetic form of folate that your liver has to convert into the active form (5-MTHF) before your body can use it. L-Methylfolate is already in that active form — no conversion needed. For people with a common MTHFR gene variation, that conversion is impaired, which is why an active 5-MTHF supplement is often a better fit.
